Changing the way the traces are encoded is at this point of time not
an option. There are plenty of other things to do that Joerg/etc. are
working on. I had to give very strong promises to NSF and the deployment
sites for traces to be IP-encoded in a highly anonymous way, and was in
at least one earlier case not even permitted by NSF to give the *local*
site of traces unencoded addresses. Joerg has broad flexibilities to run
the PMA infrastructure so it benefits people, *except* for the privacy
related stuff (such as IP address ancoding), which I control. Let's focus
on other topics here, as this discussion starts getting out of hand.
Especially please don't give Joerg a hard time about it, as it is not his
"fault."
