Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am a masters degree computer science student doing my degree on traffic
models for Internet applications. I am investigating HTTP, FTP and SMTP
application behaviour. I am looking for traffic traces to analyze, and
would be very appreciative of any traces that you might have which I could
use in my analysis.
The traces should be representative of high volume WAN traffic such
as found on the Internet, and should therefore be taken on a high capacity
Internet link such as an Internet backbone link or a link connecting a
large institution such as a university to a backbone link. The
measurements also have to be recent, taken within the last 5 years.
The traffic traces should contain application layer information in order
to obtain SMTP, FTP and HTTP related information.
Hope to hear from you. Any other suggestions/ tips would also be
appreciated.
